1. Wells Fargo 1st round delayed with rain forecast

   With rain in the forecast, the opening round of the Wells Fargo Championship on Thursday was delayed by a few hours.

2. Rory: Other players balked over return to board

   Rory McIlroy will no longer replace Webb Simpson on the PGA Tour policy board and the board of directors of PGA Tour Enterprises, saying there were some on the board "that were maybe uncomfortable with me coming back on for some reason."

3. Seven LIV golfers invited to PGA Championship

   The PGA Championship officially has Tiger Woods in a field released Tuesday that also includes invitations to seven players from Saudi-funded LIV Golf.

4. Aberg elects to skip Quail Hollow with 'knee issue'

   Swedish sensation Ludvig Aberg, who finished second in his Masters debut last month, withdrew on Monday from this week's PGA Tour event, in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a knee issue but, he expects to return in time for next week's PGA Championship.

5. Gooch gets special invite to PGA Championship

   Talor Gooch of LIV Golf announced Monday on social media that he received an invitation to play in the PGA Championship next week.

6. NBA star-backed TGL entry boasts Aberg, Clark

   The TGL's Bay Golf Club team, owned by Mark Lowry and partners Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala, will be composed of Ludvig Åberg, Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry and Min Woo Lee.

7. Pendrith wins Byron Nelson, his 1st PGA Tour title

   Taylor Pendrith, the third-round leader who two-putted for birdie on the 18th hole, took advantage of Ben Kohles' final-hole meltdown to win the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on Sunday in McKinney, Texas, for his first PGA Tour title.

    Adrian Otaegui shot 7-under 65 in his final round to win the China Open by 1 shot and earn a spot in the PGA Championship later this month.
